Here’s another in light from the Olight family, and one that I was quite excited and expectant for, and very happy to have! This was sent to me by Olight, through Going Gear. Special thanks to Going Gear for sending these my way! Thanks u/storl!
18650s from GearBest? Can they be trusted?
After an ongoing discussion here about the smallest 18650 light available, I talked Kathy at GearBest into sending one of those DQG Tiny 18650 lights. At the same time, she included the DQG Fairy. I’ve reviewed a similar light before – the CooYoo Quantum. These are fun little lights, but let’s put it through some paces to see how it looks.
This is a review of the Olight S2A Badon. I happen to like using AA’s in lights because I have a ton of Eneloops around the house, so this is a nice model for me. This will be very similar to the S2R and S1R I recently reviewed, but there were enough differences I wanted to review them separately.
Marshall at Going Gear sent me this Niwalker MM25MB for review (and probably, to put beside the Olight X7 I (reviewed recently). I like fun lights, and I’m glad to look at this light from a brand I’m completely unfamiliar with. Special thanks to Going Gear for sending these my way!
After the Jet-II Pro was such a hit (for me, anyway!), Kathy at GearBest decided to send the Jet-II Mk to compare. These lights are very similar except that one’s a twisty (Mk) and the other is a clicky (Pro). Thanks to GearBest for sending this light, and for allowing the great coupon on the Ti version of the Pro.
These were both sent to me by Olight, through Going Gear. I’m a fan of 16340 size lights, and the S1 is one of my favorite lights to carry, so I was interested in this light for sure! I’m also a (relatively) recent convert into the 18650 world and many of my favorite lights are 18650 lights! I’m doing these two lights together since they’re so similar – differing really only in the cell they use. Special thanks to Going Gear for sending these my way!
