After [ages] of hearing a user extol the virtues of the Imax B6 charger, I requested one from GearBest. It was quite fitting, since I also have an RC car in for review from GearBest. I am excited to plow into this charger. As it’s my first hobby charger of this type, I’ll probably have to learn a lot along the way.
Here’s a light from GearBest that I saw, thought looked neat, and GearBest agreed to send. I haven’t heard of Amutorch before, but they have a few offerings.
I have a long list of JETBeams that I’m fairly fond of…. I think JETBeam makes a great product, and even some specialty lights that are among my favorite (JETBeam Jet-II Pro in titanium!). Here’s a much more tactical, bigger, and huge output 18650 light from JETBeam, with the Cree XHP70.2!
Emisar has been killing it lately. Just released is this D1S, their throwiest offering yet. I am pleased to have one, as I don’t like the typical entry into throwy 18650 lights (that is, the C8). Let’s see how it stacks up!
I continue to have interest in brass lights. I never had the original Lumintop Tool (the tailswitch was unappealing to me). But I asked GearBest and received the brass version of the Ant, which is a side switch tool (basically). Read on!
Today I’m reviewing a light that isn’t even a new light. I asked for it, and GearBest provided. I have liked the looks and specs of this light for a while and I’m pleased to have one on hand to test. Let’s see if it stands up to my expectations.
One of my goals for reviewing keyboards is to get into reviewing some ‘higher quality’ boards. I’d love to teardown a Mechmini, or a Minivan, for example. Or build up a Bantam-44. A lot of it has been about switches. Third tier switches are fine, but Gateron and Cherry would be great!
The Xiaomi Yuemi MK01B meets all my criteria. I’m pleased to have a look; read on!
I’ve been a huge fan of the Olight S Mini (the brass S Mini is one of my most used lights!), and this S1 Mini is in some ways, it’s successor. Yes, it’s from the S1 lineage, but it’s smaller than the S Mini; which is more important? And now it’s available in High CRI? I was very interested. Keep reading to see how I like it now!
Another in a long line of Olight is the Olight M2R. This one is highly anticipated and regarded, with the momentary and recharging tailcap. It’s a cool light on paper, so let’s have a closer look.
I like Nitecore products. I like their flashlights, I like their cells… so far they I have liked most of what I’ve handled that they made! I wanted the chance to test that by having a look at one of their newer products, a backpack. Ok, a tactical backpack.
The SkyRC MC3000 is a charger I’ve been asking GearBest to send for a long while. They finally agreed, and here’s my review! This charger is ridiculously capable. I’ll say up front that I will not be testing every capability of this charger. I might only just scratch the surface! But I will try to give you an idea about the charger, and if it lives up to the claims that will be useful for a flashlight enthusiast.
Fenix just announced/released this Cree XHP70 light, and they set out to find a few reviewers. I got lucky and was selected. I’m excited to have this light from Fenix for review. A Fenix light was one of my very first “real” flashlight purchases ever!
Phil from the Kickstarter program for the Backnife sent me a message that he’d like to send one of his products out for a look. I have been interested in ceramic knives for a while, so I said sure! A ceramic box cutter, neat!
