Fireflies PL47 Flashlight Review

The latest review item I have from Neal’s Gadgets is another Fireflies light.  This is the PL47, a right angle 21700 light.  It’s a “headlamp” in the sense that it ships with a headband, but most uses will likely not include it being an actual headlamp.  I’m excited to have and test it; read on for more!

Eagtac SX30C2 Flashlight Review

Here’s my second Eagtac light, the SX30C2.  This is a throwier version of the Eactac I just reviewed, the TX30C2.  The specs and such are otherwise pretty much the same!  As a result, much of the review will be carry over, too.

Eagtac TX30C2 Flashlight Review

I have tried for ages to get lights by EagTac for review.  Their lights are consistently solid offerings, and one of the few brands which offer Nichia emitters in their main lineup.  I have a couple of these EagTac lights in for review; here’s the first one!  This is the TX30C2, an 18650 light with medium range, and dual switch interface.

Sofirn C01 Single Mode, Yuji High CRI, AAA Flashlight Review

BLF has conspired yet again to design a light that it’s impossible to not want.  This time it’s a tiny AAA light, made by Sofirn, with a Yuji emitter, and very high CRI.  The single mode is very low output, but with very long runtimes, and two temperatures available.    It’s also very inexpensive!

XTAR EU4 USB Hub Review

I was in gross need of a USB port with QC3 capabilities for a charger or two I was testing.  I got super lucky that XTAR has this product just out, and they dropped one in the mail to me.  This power brick has three USB ports, one of which has QC3 capabilities.  The other two have output up to 2.4A, and there’s also a USB-C port!  Read on for my testing and thoughts!

Skilhunt H03C RC Headlamp Review

I’ve long been a huge fan of the Skilhunt H03 – I should take it a step further: I have never reviewed a Skilhunt light that I didn’t like! I have also wanted the “C” version of the Skilhunt headlamp since I knew about the H02C. Finally I have one in my hands, and here’s the review of it!

Convoy T2 Flashlight Review

Convoy has added a small AA light to their lineup.  It’s a small version of the Convoy S2+, and called the T2.  It’s literally a shrunken S2+, which is fantastic, but lacks Li-ion support.  Read on for more!

SolarForce L2M and L2C P60 Host Review, and Solarforce Drop-In Review

A long time ago, in a land far far away, emitters were expensive, and modding was hard and unusual.  And sites with modding supplies were rare!

Back then, there were P60 light.  Buy a host, buy one or many drop-ins, and boom, tons of options!  P60 lights were an easy way to try different emitters or modes or whatever, without actual modification.

They still are!  Though modding is possibly more common now, and certainly easier (due to tons of helpful videos etc), P60 is still around and available.  So that’s what I’m reviewing today!  Some of the most common P60 hosts, and one of their available drop-ins.

Nightwatch Seeker Ns22 Flashlight Review

Neal from Neal’s Gadgets got in touch with me recently about having a look at some lights.  I agreed, and I’m excited; Neal is the only place to get cool items!
Today I have the first of a few items Neal sent – it’s the Nightwatch Seeker Ns22.  This is a thrower in 18650 format, with a bunch of unusual emitter options.  It’s a simple light – the key to it is all these emitters!

Zonestar Z8XM2 Multi-material 3D Printer Kit Review

This post has been a long time coming.  Shamefully long, if I’m honest.  I have had this item for review for so long it’s not even stocked by GearBest any more.

This is my second 3d printer review, and while the item itself is a nice unit, I had a hard time building it, and have not actually printed anything with it yet (stop here if that’s going to be a problem.)  This is my … preview… of the Zonestar Z8XM2.

I write this post mainly because I want users to know about these kits, to see how they look during the build process and so that some might be better able to gauge if this is a build they’re willing to undertake.

Sofirn C8F 21700 Flashlight Review

Today I have in for review a light I’ve been looking forward to (and pestering Sofirn for) for a long while now: The C8F 21700.  I reviewed the original C8F (and that review didn’t go so well).  Sofirn responsively made some changes to the light, and now it uses a 21700 cell instead of a 18650, and I think generally has some build quality improvements.  Read on to see if that pans out!
