There was a group buy organized on reddit of this special run of the Aurora series… It was this Nichia version, with a modified UI. I got my copy recently and I’ve been playing with and testing it. It’s similar enough to the older ones that this review will be brief[er] on text, but with description of differences.
The latest review item I have from Neal’s Gadgets is another Fireflies light. This is the PL47, a right angle 21700 light. It’s a “headlamp” in the sense that it ships with a headband, but most uses will likely not include it being an actual headlamp. I’m excited to have and test it; read on for more!
Here’s my second Eagtac light, the SX30C2. This is a throwier version of the Eactac I just reviewed, the TX30C2. The specs and such are otherwise pretty much the same! As a result, much of the review will be carry over, too.
I have tried for ages to get lights by EagTac for review. Their lights are consistently solid offerings, and one of the few brands which offer Nichia emitters in their main lineup. I have a couple of these EagTac lights in for review; here’s the first one! This is the TX30C2, an 18650 light with medium range, and dual switch interface.
Here’s one of those random reviews of a light (and items) that I purchase myself, and am completely free to say what I want. (That’s a joke; I say what I want about all items I review, no matter how I get them.) This is a light I’ve eyeballed for ages, but never ponied up the money for. I had a failed purchase through another site, so I decided to use that money for this light. It’s the Oveready Lava P60 host. I paired it with two drop ins; a 371d p60 triple drop in, and an Oveready DIP 8-mode 219c drop in. I’m excited to have this light, and glad to put forth this review!
