Occasionally I get a wild hair to buy a random product like this one. I already know I like FocusWorks from the Eryx review. And I like small spinners too, particularly ones with these ball bearings. So during a sale I purchased this Axis Micro Mini in stonewashed bronze, and thought I’d throw out some photos and thoughts on it.
Another RovyVon! This time it’s the brass version, and one I bought for myself. That’s a testament to the other two from this series I’ve reviewed – the A23 and A28 – I liked them enough to put my own money into a version. The A29, brass of course.
A Fun Fund Friday review of a light you all probably already own and have moved past… The Lumintop FW3C – yes another FW review! My copy of this light has been in my possession for a while now, so shipped with an early version of Andúril, and the review might not be the most relevant any more.
Breaking out a standard classic for today’s post-Thanksgiving Fun Fund Friday review. It’s a twisty 10180 light by the well known Steve Ku of Veleno Designs. This is my second of these, and despite being available for years, they’re still being sold today!
This is the Wuben TO50R, which started on BLF as “The Flashlight.” It claimed at the time 2500 lumens (bumped to 2800 now), high CRI, on-board charging, a cell included, and can be used as a powerbank, too.
I recently snagged this venerable classic by Surefire. My second Surefire…. This is the Surefire Titan Plus, a coated brass LED light in AAA twisty format. Read on for thoughts and testing!
I’m a flashlight guy, no secret, but any time I have a light on my person, I also have a knife. But I’m not a typical knife guy – I strongly prefer really small knives. It’s a never ending quest. I saw this little guy and knew I had to have it. This Nite Ize DoohicKey knife isn’t the perfect knife for me, but it’s the one that I’ve carried for months now.
Official Specs and Features Here’s a link to the official product page. Versions This review is for one specific dropin, but KDLITKER has many p60…
Another Friday! Another Fun Fund Friday! Today I have in my hands a light I bought for myself…. Nostalgia, new emitters,… plenty of reasons. But ultimately it came down to someone (u/tebeve, on reddit) lending me his copy of this light, and me realizing I really wanted to have one of my own. This is a MagLite Micromag, which has been modified by kyfishguy on BLF. The mods are extensive! Read on to see about them, and this light.
For the longest time I’ve wanted to try the Dragon driver. Out of all the lights I’ve ever had, I’ve never managed to snag one that came with a Dragon driver. But I did recently get the MechForce MechTorch host, so I went and purchased a Dragon driver with the intention of installing it myself, into this host. You can see from yesterday’s post that this was successful, so now I have a flashlight with a Dragon driver, for testing! Read on for more!
A long time ago, in a land far far away, emitters were expensive, and modding was hard and unusual. And sites with modding supplies were rare!
Back then, there were P60 light. Buy a host, buy one or many drop-ins, and boom, tons of options! P60 lights were an easy way to try different emitters or modes or whatever, without actual modification.
They still are! Though modding is possibly more common now, and certainly easier (due to tons of helpful videos etc), P60 is still around and available. So that’s what I’m reviewing today! Some of the most common P60 hosts, and one of their available drop-ins.
I only just got “into” flippers and when I saw this knife, and I knew I had to have it. Small knives are my jam.
This is the FURA “Bean clone” flipper.
