Kansept Little Main Street Knife Review
Here’s the Kansept Little Main Street knife, a tiny “American Flag handle” knife with a Crossbar lock. It features a drop-point blade with a straight edge.

Versions
There are so many versions of the Kansept Little Main Street knife. There’s even a (regular) Main Street knife, which is a fair bit bigger than this Little version. Among the Kansept Little Main Street knife specifically, there are many versions – I count around 21. That includes an Ultem version, anodized titanium versions, seasonal versions – plenty of options!
Price
This Kansept Little Main Street knife specifically sells for 59.89. There are less costly versions, including one with carbon fiber handles (at $55). Some seasonals are even on sale at ~$39! Price ranges upward, all the way to a titanium anodized version at ~$140.

Look
Of course, the most immediately striking thing about this Kansept Little Main Street knife is the “American Flag handles.” It’s very patriotic. The knife design is by Dirk Pinkerton. I would guess Dirk was instrumental with the scale options, too.
The design is special – it’s a Crossbar lock knife, and the knife is small! Practically my perfect combo.
Open / Close / Lock
Again, this is a Crossbar lock knife. There are at least two ways to deploy the Kansept Little Main Street blade. Namely, you can use the thumbstud to flick the blade open.
Do note (again) that the knife is properly small – it’ll take a certain amount of dexterity to open the knife using this thumbstud.
The second option is to pull back on the Crossbar lock and allow the blade to fall open. Likely you’ll have to swing the knife to motivate the blade, but that’s how it should be.
Once open, the only way to close the knife is to release the Crossbar lock. Just pull both sides of that center piece backward and the lock is released.
Build and Feel
The Kansept Little Main Street knife really feels bigger in hand than the blade length (2.26″) would indicate. the scales are fairly thick as well as having a sort of hard (not contoured) edge.
Quality is good, however. I find Crossbar (or “Axis” to use Benchmade’s term) to be very great knives.
Blade centering is perfect.
I don’t see anywhere that Kansept has said what type of bearing this knife uses. The action is smooth, though.
There’s no detent along the blade opening swing.
On the back of the spine near the thumbstud is some faux-jimping. “Faux” because it doesn’t go all the way across the spine.
Both handles are fully lined with metal, making for a very rigid knife.

Also above is the Kansept Little Main Street knifebeside a TorchLAB BOSS 35, an 18350 light. I reviewed the aluminum version of that light in both 35 and 70 formats. I also reviewed that specific edition, the “Oveready BOSS FT Collector Vintage Brass” 35. I love it!

Steel / Cut / Oats
The Kansept Little Main Street knife uses 154CM steel and has a “drop point” stonewashed blade.
I say “drop point” (in quotes) because this is definitely not a traditional drop point. It’s similar but does have a very flat cutting edge. This blade shape might make or break the knife for you. At just $60ish, it’s not a dealbreaker to try the knife out!
Retention
Kansept has placed a two-screw deep carry clip on the Little Main Street knife.
The clip is not reversible and there is not a cutout into the scales so that the attachment point is flush with the scales.
Kansept also includes their standard carry pouch.
Summary and Conclusion
The Kansept Little Main Street knife is a knife destined to be one I love. It has a small blade and is an overall small knife. It uses the Crossbar lock (which I love!). I believe if it was a more traditional drop point blade shape, it would be one I carry often especially if the handles were a bit more contoured.
It’s certainly patriotic though, and I give Dirk and Kansept credit for that! If you order now you can probably carry it on July 4th!
