Versions

The Mini Korvid exists in so many variations. I count 11 right off, and I am certain there are more. Kansept even has other variations of the Korvid. There’s a Korvid S, Korvid M, Korvid XL, and possibly even a Korvid M+. There are plenty of sizes, finishes, and handle varieties to pick from!

Price

The Kansept Mini Korvid Zombie Green Knife specifically sells for $62.89.

Look

You should likely skip directly to the size section of this post first – these photos don’t tell how small this Mini knife is! It’s very small.

Next up, consider the scales. They are anodized aluminum and finished in green with “red splatter” – Zombie Green Kansept calls it. I have a few other items in the “zombie green” style and I’d say Kansept nailed it here. The items match nicely!

You’ll note too that the blade is finished in black stonewash. The blade too, is very nice!

There’s no detent in the blade path.

Open / Close / Lock

The Kansept Mini Korvid Zombie Green Knife is what I consider strictly a flipper. The flipper tab is on the back – you can see it in the photo below. Of course, as this is a cleaver, a good bit of blade sticks out of the handles and pinch-to-open is easy, too.Kansept Mini Korvid Zombie Green Flipper showing two flipper tabs

You might think that for such a small knife, it’ll be hard to open. It’s not! You’ll have to hold it in the “pinch” grip seen below, but once you flip it, it flips open willingly!

Lockup has been very secure for me too. The Kansept Mini Korvid Zombie Green knife is a standard liner-lock knife.

Build and Feel

Again, the zombie pattern really pops! One thing to note (again – I think I said it above) is that these scales are aluminum! Not G10 or some other material. They’re metal! That’s a pretty neat, but the green/red splatter is neat on top of that!

I said it before in the Shieldon Gambit post, but I love cleavers. That’s odd, for as much as I dislike the (very similar?) Tanto-style. But I am a cleaver fan!

The (small) blade has a good bit of deep jimping. The blade is also quite thick!

Below you can see the black metal liners that help keep the knife rigid. Again, the scales are metal, so maybe the metal liners are overkill. They have holes for weight reduction, in any case. And they’re probably steel.

The blade is nicely centered.

There’s no backspacer, but color-matching (with the blade and liners) standoffs are in place.

Below you can see the Kansept Mini Korvid Zombie Green knife with the venerable Convoy S2+. The version below is a custom laser-engraved Convoy S2+ host by GadgetConnections.com. I did a full post on an engraved orange host right here! Or go straight to GadgetConnections.com to buy your Convoy S2+ now!

Also above is the knife beside a TorchLAB BOSS 35, an 18350 light. I reviewed the aluminum version of that light in both 35 and 70 formats. I also reviewed that specific edition, the “Oveready BOSS FT Collector Vintage Brass” 35. I love it!

Steel / Cut / Oats

154CM steel is used on the Kansept Mini Korvid Zombie Green knife.

Retention

There’s no pocket clip on this tiny knife. You can see the lanyard hole below, though.

Summary and Conclusion

The Justin Koch-designed Kansept Mini Korvid Zombie Green knife is a special little knife. I love small knives, cleavers, and this coated black blade, so this one is a huge win for me. There are so many versions, too, that if you don’t care about this or that aspect of this Mini Korvid, you can certainly find one to love!
